The group has diverse backgrounds and its members are dedicated to diverse areas, ranging from algorithm repair to climate justice. Lori Regattieri is one of those selected. She is an activist for the environment and climate justice and has been supporting social movements in Brazil for over 15 years. She is a researcher at netlab (UFRJ) and member of the Latin American Network of Surveillance, Technology and Society Studies (LAVITS).
With a grant from the Mozilla Foundation, she explores the role of AI in reorganizing relationships, discourses and power in the face of the climate crisis, and studies possible reparations for climate socio-environmental justice.
